Lady Gaga gave a dazzling performance at this past Sunday’s Super bowl halftime show in Houston, Texas.
She opened her show with Woody Guthrie’s civil rights anthem “This Land Is Your Land”, which was her take on equality and respect for the rights of all in light of the recent travel ban by the Trump Administration, before jumping off the roof of Houston’s NRG stadium surrounded by the light of hundreds of drones.
She entertained the crowd with a medley of her hits, including “Born This Way”, “Million Reasons” and “Bad Romance”.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Gaga said that part of preparing for the performance was rigorous cardio training, including rock climbing while singing the songs that she was going to perform. She burned up social media with her performance, with the word “Gaga” receiving 41,000 tweets per minute on Twitter during the performance and over 300,000 people per minute talking about Lady Gaga on Facebook.
