The music scene in Africa’s youngest nation South Sudan is vibrant and cool. Artists use music to advocate for peace and celebrate the nation’s new-found freedom.

The theme of peace is common in most songs, and this latest release titled “Ana Taban” is quite popular in the country. It is a collaboration between some of South Sudan’s biggest stars Ayak, Coozos Clan (Menimen), L.U.A.L, Natty P, Manasseh Mathiang, Tutu Baibe, Mr. Lengs, Lomerikson and Ras Kayne, and the song is dedicated to those who have lost their lives as a result of the war (see the song below courtesy of YouTube).
